Release of the 6 +1 flavours for our I Miss Japan Exclusive Weekend 2.0! This year we’ve collaborated with @chabashira_tea_roastery to bring you the King of all matcha: Gyokuro!! Once known as the emperor of Japan’s favourite tea. It is ultra premium and we are so delighted to introduce Gyokuro to you. Sweet, Savory, full of Umami. Grown meticulously, only harvested once a year.
Flavour no.2 Plum and cheese : this flavour profile is very unique, fresh plums give you the first taste, and soft cream cheese as you breathe out.
Flavour no.3 Kinako & Brown Sugar: Kinako is essentially roasted soy bean powder! A heaviness and depth that comes with the creamy soybean taste because of its roasting. Paired with brown sugar to elevate it even more. Kinako is found as a topping of a lot of Japanese dessert, but we took it to make a flavour of its own
Flavour no.4 White Miso: We were so intrigued at this flavour when we made it last year, miso a Japanese staple. We were even more amused when customers loved it when they tasted it! They complimented the balance and it’s interesting caramel like taste.
Flavour no.5 Uji Houjicha: not new in waka but an anchor in our I Miss Japan series. Roasty and deep, a flavour we won’t get tired of.
Flavour no.6+1 Uji Matcha / Reiko Matcha: The classic matcha at Waka from Uji region, safe to say, the memories go right back to Uji when you taste this ; new on the block we have Reiko matcha from Chabashira, in scoop, latte, and float!
